For the latest Senso guidance videos, check out Senso’s “Classroom/Teacher Training Videos” YouTube playlist here

Senso Cloud is a web based classroom management platform which works across both Windows and Chromebook devices. The classroom management tools in Senso Cloud enable you to do the following and more with the student devices being used in your lessons.

  • Keep students on task – disable Internet/lock screen, monitor student screens
  • Enhance learning – broadcast your screen (or a student’s screen eg to showcase a good piece of work), send a file, poll, launch a website

See below for further details on accessing the Senso Cloud console, and guidance on using each of the basic classroom management features.

Senso Cloud has been linked to your school Office 365 account which enables you to easily access the system without the need to have a separate set of credentials.

Use the following Office 365 login link to sign into Senso Cloud – https://portal.senso.cloud/Account/MSLogin

Check out the video below showing how to login and what you would expect to see once you have logged on. If you see the Senso login page when accessing Senso Cloud, use the “Login with Microsoft” option.

Basic Modules

See below for a description of each module avaiable in the basic teacher mode, a video showing how to use each module is provided.

Lock one or multiple devices so they cannot be used – this is great for refocusing attention such as to ensure that students are listening to instructions.
Customised message or default message will appear full screen. Unlock enables usage of device(s) again.

Broadcast

Broadcast your screen or a student’s screen to selected devices.
Choose one or multiple devices to include them in the broadcast. Selected devices will show in Select Broadcaster box and any device can be selected to be the source of the broadcast. Options include:

  • Show broadcast in a window – keep this disabled if you want the broadcast to display full screen for your students
  • Do not allow user to close the broadcast – enable this option to prevent students from closing the screen broadcast

Block Web

Turn off access to search the internet or open websites through any browser.
This does not actually disable the internet on a device, it just turns off access to use the internet browser on the device. Choose enable to give browser access back to the user.

Launch

Automatically open websites or installed applications on one or more devices.

Block Sound

Mute the volume of the remote machine (this will only mute the sound of the
open Tabs on a Chromebook not the whole device).

Close Tab

This option enables you to close the active browser tab on Chromebooks and also Windows devices where the Chrome browser is being used.

Question

This feature will only work on Windows devices

Ask one or many users a question with up to four answer choices.
Responses are displayed below the options window.

Send File

Send a File or Document to any number of remote users.
Files are stored in and downloaded from the cloud for access at anytime. Files are uploaded in Upload Tab and options include save to a location, auto-run, and run with different login credentials.

Password Reset

  1. Select the Rest Pass module on the main toolbar
  2. Select a windows machine selected in the main window. (This can be any windows machine. You can identify a windows machine by the windows icon next to the device)

3. Enter the students username and a new password.
