Recording a voicemail on 3CX

What will I need?

1. Access to a phone on 3CX
2. Your extension number
3. Your extension pin number. If you do not have this you can get this by contacting the helpdesk.

Recording a voicemail greeting

From your phone

1. Dial 666
2. When prompted enter your extensions pin number (verification number) then press #
3. Press 9 on the keypad for more settings
4. Press 8 on the keypad
5. Press 0 to record a new message. (You will hear a beep and then you can start recording your message. Press # at the end to save the message)
6. Listen carefully to the following options, these will be as below.
   • To save the message press 0
   • To repeat the message press 1
   • To listen to the message press 2
7. You may now hang up or you can listen to the message by pressing 2

From someone else’s phone

1. Dial 666
2. When prompted for the pin press #
3. Enter your extension number
4. When prompted enter your extensions pin number (verification number) then press #
5. Press 9 on the keypad for more settings
6. Press 8 on the keypad
7. Press 0 to record a new message. (You will hear a beep and then you can start recording your message. Press # at the end to save the message)
8. Listen carefully to the following options, these will be as below.
   • To save the message press 0
   • To repeat the message press 1
   • To listen to the message press 2
9. You may now hang up or you can listen to the message by pressing 2

Greeting options

• Press 0 to record a new message
• Press 1 to restore the default greeting message
• Press 2 to listen to the current message
• Press # to exit and hang up
